Ten Northern Ontario mining supply and service sector companies are getting expert advice from an export development advisor over the next six months to develop marketing tools and strategies to access international markets, according to a recent news release.
The companies were selected on the basis of their innovative, competitive products and services. This is part of a new export assistance program developed under the government’s five-year Open Ontario plan to create jobs and economic opportunities in Northern Ontario.
The participating companies are: Rock Tech (Greater Sudbury); Walden Equipment (Greater Sudbury and Timmins); Temiskaming Industrial Mining Equipment Limited (New Liskeard); Miller Technology (North Bay); Nordik Mining Inc (North Bay); Bestech (Greater Sudbury); Henninger's Diesel (Greater Sudbury); Symboticware - (Greater Sudbury); Synergy Controls (Thunder Bay, Greater Sudbury, Timmins); Trident Mining Systems/Nautilus (Timmins).
