Long-time staffer Fred Gibbons has been appointed as interim president at Northern College, following the departure of former president Michael Hill.
Gibbons, the former executive regional director, has been with the college since 1992 after being hired to develop curriculum. He has since served in a variety of teaching and administrative roles.
He holds a master's degree in business administration as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree.
The school's Board of Directors is undertaking a national search to seek a permanent replacement.
