Two different homegrown innovations geared towards helping the mining industry have seen provincial funding to the combined tune of nearly $75,000.
With an eye on exporting to global markets, Accutron Instruments Inc. has created a new ultrasonic airflow metering system. The Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC) has given $45,000 to support the technology, which will continuously measure the flow of air in industrial applications.
The NOHFC also gave $29,800 to Dallys Industrial Service Ltd. to perform field testing for a new core drilling system. This features a special assembly that uses water to pump out drill core tubes more efficiently.
