Dryden Municipal Telephone System (DMTS), which operates Dryden Mobility is overseeing a GSM networking system in Northern Ontario.
The municipal telephone company negotiated a roaming agreement with Rogers Wireless that will allow customers to roam from both company networks freely.
Testing facilities are being installed to support the networks which should be operational by the first quarter of 2009. Operational sites will be constructed in all urban areas of Northern Ontario by 2009.
“DMTS is committed to providing a competitive choice for wireless customers throughout the North and our management and staff look forward to bringing our customers the best wireless network technology choice in 2009,” said Peter Gillis, General Manager DMTS, Dryden Mobility.
