Nakina Air Services has taken delivery of a new Pilatus PC-12 NG aircraft.
In a Dec. 20 news release, the company announced the single-engine turboprop utility aircraft can perform a wide range of tasks, including transportation of passengers and cargo.
Based in the village of Nakina in northwestern Ontario, the family-owned carrier operates nine aircraft, including two PC-12s.
The aircraft is an upgrade over an older Pilatus that had 20,000 hours of flying time and about 36,000 landings.
President Robert Arnone said the aircraft is well-suited for operations in harsh winter environments and on gravel airfields.
“We needed an aircraft that is safe, reliable and offers passenger comfort.”
