The consultants have been picked to carry out Thunder Bay's mining readiness plan.
SNC Lavelin and Thunder Bay's Edward Hoshizaki Development Consulting are teaming up to develop and implement the Mining Readiness Strategy and Integrated Economic Development Plan, 2012-2015.
They'll be diving in to examine how the city and the nearby Fort William First Nation can maximize its opportunities in this growing sector of northwestern Ontario in the areas of transportation, energy, workforce planning, industrial land use and business development, housing supply and regional stakeholder consultation.
