Forest research scientists and industry experts will converge on the Ottawa-Gatineau area in April for a three-day sustainable forest conference.
The Sustainable Forest Management Network, a national not-for-profit research centre of excellence, is hosting the April 21-23 event entitled: Envisioning Tomorrow's Forests: Knowledge Networking for Sustainability.
The conference will present prominent Canadian and international researchers who will speak on climate change, harmonizing Aboriginal and industry interests, ecosystem valuation, and forests of the future.
Included on the agenda are Dr. C. S. (Buzz) Holling who will speak on adaptive management, futurist Dr. Thomas Homer-Dixon and geopolitical journalist Dr. Gwynne Dyer.
