Just in time for Christmas, Laurentian University has officially unveiled its new $19-million "green" School of Education. The three-storey, 6,690-square-metre building will house students, faculty and staff from the education program.

Just in time for Christmas, Laurentian University has officially unveiled its new $19-million "green" School of Education.
The three-storey, 6,690-square-metre building will house students, faculty and staff from the education program. It will also house the music department, the School of Rural and Northern Health, and the master's program in human kinetics.
With high-performance exterior envelope, superior ventilation and insulation and a greater use of natural light, the facility will be going after the silver Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification.
