Lakehead U gets ranked, puffs out chest

Maclean’s Ranking of Canadian Universities has placed Thunder Bay’s Lakehead University among the top post-secondary institutions in Canada.

Maclean’s Ranking of Canadian Universities has placed Thunder Bay’s Lakehead University among the top post-secondary institutions in Canada.
Lakehead ranks second among five primary undergraduate universities in Ontario and moved up one notch from last year among all Canadian undergrad schools.
Among Ontario universities, Lakehead ranked first in total research dollars, social sciences and humanity grants, library holdings per student and library expenses.

The school took second in student/faculty ratio, awards, scholarships, bursaries, library
acquisitions and operating budget.
University president Brian Stevenson said it’s proof positive that Lakehead delivers a quality education,  further backed by provincial statistics showing 96 per cent of their grads are employed within two years.
“This confirms that we provide our students (with) an outstanding education.”
