Michipicoten First Nation, located 24 kilometres west of Wawa, is exploring the feasibility of developing an industrial park. FedNor has contributed $53,235 to the First Nation to enable them to hire a consulting firm to conduct a feasibility study. This project is the first step towards Michipicoten First Nation achieving its goal of creating long-term, sustainable employment opportunities through the creation of an industrial park, officials say.
