The City of Greater Sudbury has experienced an 18.1 per cent increase in new home construction this year in comparison to last year's figures.

The City of Greater Sudbury has experienced an 18.1 per cent increase in new home construction this year in comparison to last year's figures.

Single-detached housing starts increased in the month of July - a total of 26 starts - bringing year-to-date totals for 2001 to 100, according to Canada Mortage and Housing Corp. figures. This figure is up 37 per cent from last year's year-to-date totals.
