Highway 584 upgraded near Geraldton

More than 26 kilometres of Highway 584 is finished being upgraded between Geraldton and Nakina just in time before winter. The project started last year and involved fixing ditches and resurfacing the road. The upgrades created 37 jobs.

Highway 584 provides access to Nakina, the Aroland First Nation and a number of forestry operations in the area. Since 2006, the entire 53-kilometre corridor from Greenstone to Nakina has been reconstructed.
