Premier Gold Mines reports it continues to find high grade mineralization at its Hardrock project in Geraldton.
In a Mar. 31 release, one drill hole result showed 4.56 grams per tonne (g/t) gold across 24.5 metres. Another showed 3.04 g/t across 31.3 metres.
The Thunder Bay junior miner said the results from their property's EP-Zone "suggest strong tonnage potential" for near surface open pit operation.
"These dril results further demonstrate the potential of the EP-Zone and confirm the high-grade open pit resource potential of the Hardrock Project," said Ewan Downie in a statement. "We have now intersected gold mineralization in four target areas with drilling yet to move into the confirmation phase of the sizeable historical resource."
The zone is close to the former North Zone mine workings where once one million ounces of gold was produced down to a depth of 2,000 feet.
