Heavy haul comin’ your way, Timmins

A large shipment of milling equipment from Spain was scheduled to arrive at the Port of Thunder Bay Oct. 28 that is heading for a Timmins mining operation. Lake Shore Gold Corp. needs the equipment for its expanding Bell Creek Mill.

A large shipment of milling equipment from Spain was scheduled to arrive at the Port of Thunder Bay Oct. 28 that is heading for a Timmins mining operation.

Don Anderson Haulage, a heavy haul trucking company, is handling the ship-to-truck cargo via Highway 11 to Timmins. The cargo will be transported in three superloads. The convoy will depart Keefer Terminal in Thunder Bay on Oct. 31 and arrive in Timmins, Nov. 3. The port authority is advising that motorists on Highway 11 can expect delays and temporary closures during daylight hours.
