Hearst to host sustainable development conference

The francophone community of Hearst is hoping to help all Northern Ontario communities by hosting "Our Children, Their Future," a conference on sustainable development from April 29 - May 2.

The francophone community of Hearst is hoping to help all Northern Ontario communities by hosting "Our Children, Their Future," a conference on sustainable development from April 29 - May 2.
To be held at the local Université de Hearst, the heart of the event begins on Friday, May 1, with speeches from the likes of Luc Bouthilier, a professor of the department of wood science and forestry at l'Université Laval. Bouthilier will give a presentation on how Sweden, which has a climate similar to Northern Ontario, manages its forests.
Other features include a round table on "Practical Community Involvement," and various group discussions.
