Dryden manufacturers can learn how they can earn up to $50,000 to help them become more innovative, productive and competitive at an upcoming seminar.
Representatives from the Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters (CME) will be at the Dryden Training Centre, Feb. 12, to present information on how to access funding from the province's SMART program.
Created by the CME with $25 million invested by the Ministry of Economic Development, the program focuses on areas involving LEAN manufacturing/processing improvements, information and communications technology, and energy efficiency/environmental reduction.
"The SMART program is designed to put ideas into action," said CME's SMART Program executive director Pete Mateja. "CME will provide hundreds of Ontario's SME's ready to start productivity-improving projects with up to 50 per cent of eligible project costs to a maximum of $50,000 per project."
The Feb. 12 session runs from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Those interested can register online at www.cme-smart.ca.
