Funding earmarked for telecommunications upgrades (6/02)

The Wawatay Native Communications Society has received $500,000 in funding from FedNor for the upgrading of their telecommunications and information technology (IT) capacity, according to a June news release.

The Wawatay Native Communications Society has received $500,000 in funding from FedNor for the upgrading of their telecommunications and information technology (IT) capacity, according to a June news release.

FedNor funding will be used to assist with costs of special equipment, installation, programming and technical support for telecommunications and IT. Wawatay Radio Network, television, news, translation, technical and print services will be included in the upgrading.
