To help roll out their new productivity enhancement program, the Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters (CME) is bringing Sandy Adam, former CEO of Algoma Steel to Sudbury.
On Dec. 3, Adam will join various other industry experts to discuss the importance of continuous improvement in manufacturing and the need to use state-of-the-art techniques to succeed.
The event, in cooperation between CME, the Greater Sudbury Development Corporation and the Sudbury Area Mining Supply and Service Association, will also promote the new SMART Program.
This program helps to provide partial funding to projects focusing on productivity enhancement, up to a maximum of $50,000.
Manufacturers may attend the event for free while service providers and consultants require a fee of $50. For more information or to register, visit www.cme-smart.ca.
