Essar sponsors Roberta Bondar Foundation

Essar Steel has announced plans to back the Roberta Bondar Foundation by becoming a founding corporate partner.

The registered, not-for-profit charity aims to provide a creative, learner-friendly approach to understanding environmental science.

In a news release, Essar's chief executive officer, Jim Hrusovsky, said the foundation's values align well with those of the company.

“We are most excited by the foundation's promise and commitment to advancing our collective understanding of the environment through art,” he said. “The foundation's positive approach to change is well aligned with Essar's core values. We welcome the opportunity to engage all of Essar—our employees and their families—in this unique journey of discovery.”
