A Sudbury-based ecotourism group has signed a co-operation agreement with a German-based tourism organization. Partners in Eco-Adventure Tourism (PEAT) intend to meet with representatives from the Kalka group, arriving in Sudbury for a trade mission in mid-September. They hope to develop an eventual partnership offering tourism exposure in both the Northern Ontario and the former East German markets. PEAT is a partnership of about 25 tour operators and lodge outfitters specializing in bike tours, paddle adventures and wilderness expeditions.
