East Ferris mayor acclaimed to rural association board

East Ferris Mayor Bill Vrebosch has been acclaimed to the Rural Ontario Municipal Association (ROMA) board of directors for Zone 9. ROMA is an affiliate of the Association of Municipalities of Ontario.

East Ferris Mayor Bill Vrebosch has been acclaimed to the Rural Ontario Municipal Association (ROMA) board of directors for Zone 9.

ROMA is an affiliate of the Association of Municipalities of Ontario. Mayor Vrebosch will sit on the AMO Board of Directors.

Vrebosch will represent Northern Ontario from Gravenhurst to Moosonee to the Manitoba border. “As you can see, the North needs strong representation on the provincial boards,” he said in a statement. “The other eight zones are in the South. I will be working with both FONOM (Federation of Northern Ontario Municipalities), which represents Northeastern Ontario, and NOMA (Northwestern Ontario Municipal Association) ...trying to strengthen the Northern voice.”
