Dryden Mobility: Roam if you want to
Dryden Municipal Telephone System/Dryden Mobility (DMTS) announced it will install a modern GSM network for its communities in northwestern Ontario.
In January, DMTS received Industry Canada approval for operate a GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) allowing subscribers to have North American coverage by the end of this year.
The network will cover the Far North communities of the Nishnawbe Aski Nation.
Dryden Telephone has a deal with Rogers Wireless to allow customers to roam on a modern network which will be installed and tested by this spring. It is expected that there will be operational sites in all communities of Northern Ontario by year's end.

Dryden Mayor Anne Krassilowsky called the achievement "outstanding progress in opening more doors of choice to people, business and industry across Northern Ontario."
Current customers will be provided with a new GSM cell phone at no charge when they convert to a new network later this year. No activation and network access fees will be charged.
