Dryden appoints new city manager

The City of Dryden has appointed Joe van Koeverden was its new city manager. He replaces Arie Hoogenboom who is retiring.

The City of Dryden has appointed Joe van Koeverden was its new city manager.

He replaces Arie Hoogenboom who is retiring.

With an MBA from the University of Guelph, van Koeverden is the northwestern Ontario director at the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing in Thunder Bay.

He officially takes over in Dryden on July 11.

His past experience includes managing business development and attractions with the City of London and he was previously president and CEO of the Saskatchewan Gaming Corporation.

Dryden Mayor Craig Nuttall said van Koeverden's “experience, knowledge, management style and enthusiasm will be a great asset to our community.”
