Sioux Lookout is considering a downtown enhancement study that may give a boost to the local business community.
During an April 24 presentation from Jim Dyment of Barrie's Planning Partnerships, town council and members of the business community were given an overview of the study and the benefit it will have for Sioux Lookout.
The study would cost nearly $25,000; FedNor would cover 90 per cent of the cost, while local businesses and business groups like the local chamber of commerce would pick up the balance. The municipality is looking to the chamber of commerce to spearhead the initiative.
