The Community Development Corporation for East Algoma (CDCEA) received $250,000 from FedNor for its continued operations. The CDCEA carries out economic development work in an area known as the Lake Huron North Shore, ranging from Elliot Lake in the east to St. Joseph's Island. It is one of 52 community futures development corporations in Ontario funded by Industry Canada.
