Collège Boréal will open a new Toronto campus in September 2012 and is aiming to double the number of programs offered in the space.
The new campus, located at 1 Yonge Street, will encompass 47,000 square feet of space, double the available space at the school's current locations on Carlaw and College Streets.
“Since 2002, Collège Boréal was entrusted with the responsibility for Francophone education at the college level in the central-southwestern region, and we have made every effort to fill the growing needs of the Francophone population for postsecondary education, job readiness training and integration for newcomers,” said president Denis Hubert-Dutrisac in a news release. “Thanks to the support provided by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities, Collège Boréal in Toronto will be able to accommodate its growing enrolment with new spaces and programs.”
The new campus in downtown Toronto is located in the Toronto Star building and close to public transit. The campus will be part of Collège Boréal’s network of 35 access centres servicing 24 cities across Ontario.
