Sudbury's Cambrian College was nominated for a National Partners in Education Award.
The award, sponsored by Royal Bank of Canada, DaimlerChrysler Canada, Human Resources Development Canada and Industry Canada, recognizes innovative and effective business-education partnerships. In partnership with Inco Ltd., the school's Northeastern Records Retrieval Systems and Services initiative records storage, conversion and destruction services, while offering students enrolled in the records and information technology management program with some practical experience. Nominees were recognized at a ceremony in Winnipeg during the spring. Both the college and Inco were profiled in the 2001 Business and Education IdeaBook, which is distributed by the Conference Board of Canada.
