The Fort Frances Chamber of Commerce held its sixth annual banquet and business awards recently, recognizing the efforts of the local business community.
Among this year's winners were: Rainy River Record (Business of the Year, 1-15 employees); Normiska Corp. (Business of the Year, 16-plus employees); John Pierce (Customer Service, individual); and Gillons' Insurance Brokers Ltd. (Training and Adjustment Award).
Abitibi-Consolidated Ltd. was also presented with the James Paul Award for its contribution to the local business community.
