Brigus Gold's vice president and chief operating officer, Richard Allen, has left the company after joining in 2010.
A press release stated a “newly hired” Black Fox Mine general manager, who has not been named, has assumed Allan's operational responsibilities while the senior management team will share the remaining responsibilities for the time being.
Jennifer Nicholson has been promoted to executive vice president. In her new role she will continue to be responsible for investor relations and communications but will now also have responsibility for human resources and operations support.
The Nova Scotia -based miner operates the wholly-owned Black Fox Mine and mill in the Township of Black River-Matheson.
