Hydro One is investing $250,000 toward the construction of a recreational lookout in Thunder Bay.

The provincial utility signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the City of Thunder Bay for an interpretative lookout above the Current River and the recreational trail links between Centennial Park and Boulevard Lake Park.

“This investment will further complement and maintain the urban forest through the community and create a more ecologically sound and aesthetically pleasing greenway,” said Carmine Marcello, Vice-President of Hydro One's Asset Management.

The project includes trail improvements, bird habitat enhancements, fencing, interpretative signs and landscaping.
