Bestech's Products Business Group is moving to the Northern Centre for Advanced Technology (NORCAT) in Sudbury.
Bestech—an engineering, automation, software development and environmental monitoring firm—is in need of additional research and development space following a period of significant growth.
“We are a knowledge-based company with a significant proportion of our workforce—nearly 25 per cent—actively engaged in R&D,” Ian Chegwidden, vice-president of Bestech's Products division, said in a news release. “Having this key group of engineers, designers, technologists and software developers working out of NORCAT and interacting and engaging with other innovative enterprises will not only benefit our company, but also contribute to our region's recognition as the global leader for mining innovation.”
The company will occupy 7,500 square feet of space at NORCAT, including office and lab space. While the main office will remain at its Lorne Street location, 25 employees will transfer to the new NORCAT site.
