Architectural firm Peterson - Habib Consultants received awards at the Celebration of Excellence program held in Toronto in May. The 'Good Design is Good Business' recognizes projects designed by Ontario architects. The firm's Geraldton Heritage Interpretive Centre was designed to serve as a welcome centre to the community. The building's striking composition and use of industrial forms in the form of a sloping pylon resembled the support structure for a mining headframe.
