Angel investment conference to prepare northern entrepreneurs

Northern Ontario Enterprise Gateway (NOEG)will host another of its Regional Investment Showcase programs in Sudbury, March 23-25.
The three-day event, to be held at the Northern Centre for Advanced Technology, will show a select seven companies how to scale beyond local markets and prepare for rapid growth.
Speakers include W. Daniel Mothersill, president and founding member of the National Angel Capital Organization.

Attendees are expected to have prepared business plans, though early applicants will receive advance business planning material. Attendees will also be expected to bring laptops, and knowledge of PowerPoint software is preferred.
The event attendance fee is $250 plus GST, though meals and accommodations are at the attendees' expense.
In 2008, NOEG had 306 attendees to its various Investor Preparedness sessions, and facilitated $600,000 in investment.
