Sudbury’s proud history of helping NASA prepare for its lunar missions is continuing this week as officials from NASA and the Canadian Space Agency are to field testing unmanned Moon mining vehicles with the Northern Centre for Advanced Technology (NORCAT).

Space Resources Canada, a group of Canadian companies working to develop technology for space exploration, is conducting tests at the Ethier gravel pit in Garson northwest of the city. NORCAT is organizing the testing.
