Collège Boréal in Sudbury is hosting
a conference on innovation at Ontario’s colleges.
The 45th annual event is hosted by the
Ontario Colleges Facility Management and Administrative Services
Coordinating Committee under the theme Making Innovation Necessary
Every Day. It is expected to draw more than 200 people to Sudbury.
“The responsibility of community
colleges is important on many levels as we train a qualified
workforce to meet the needs of businesses in our regions, while
stimulating research and innovation within these same businesses,”
college president Denis Hubert-Dutrisac said in a news release. “The
City of Greater Sudbury has proven to be an ideal choice to welcome
such an event.”
During the event, the organizations
will hold their annual general meetings, present awards and offer
guided tours of Sudbury facilities recognized for their innovative
aspects.
