Retired General Rick Hillier is the keynote speaker at the Timmins Chamber of Commerce annual general meeting at the Days Inn, Sept. 19.

“Hillier is a Canadian inspiration, a proven leader, and he is, quite simply, one of the country's most interesting and dynamic speakers,” said chamber president Art Pultz.

The annual dinner features the swearing in of the new board of directors, an overview of chamber successes in the past year and official recognition of its volunteers.

“Although the chamber hosts many events throughout the year, there are a handful that really stand out as 'must-attend' functions, and the annual general meeting is always one of them,” said Pulz.
