Sudbury is ready to host 500 building officials at the annual Ontario Building Officials Association, Sept. 10-12.

The professional organization of 2,000 members has two dozen chapters and delivers training and certification, promotes uniform provincial building code applications and gives a voice to policymakers.

The annual conference also offers a trade show at the Holiday Inn.

“We hope the educational opportunities available at this conference will encourage more young people to enter the field of building and building code regulatory enforcement, “ said Guido Mazza, Sudbury's chief building official.
