Sudbury mayor John Rodriguez has asked former mayor, Jim Gordon, Chair of the City's Advisory Panel on Health Cluster Development, to investigate the Alternate Level of Care bed crisis at the Sudbury Regional Hospital. 

Gordon will review existing reports and recommendations and will join Mayor Rodriguez early next week to meet with senior representatives of the major stakeholders and institutions involved in the local health sector.

This group will meet again the following week and, following these meetings, Gordon will report to Council and recommend a position and strategy for the city's consideration.
