Ontario Boosts Economy In Timmins And Hearst Area

Ontario investments continue to improve community infrastructure and support private sector job creation projects in the Timmins and Hearst area.

Through its Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC), Ontario is supporting 15 projects in the James Bay Frontier. This includes municipal infrastructure and services being modernized, post-secondary education strengthened and the start-up of new businesses.

Ontario is investing nearly $4.4 million, through the NOHFC, in these 15 projects.

The NOHFC Young Entrepreneur Program helps northern residents aged 18 to 29 start their own for-profit business in the North.
