Morris Modular Space Inc.

With more than 250 trailers available in a wide variety of combinations and sizes, Morris Modular Space caters to commercial, industrial and construction clients seeking temporary or permanent facilities, which can be relocated and adjusted with relative ease.

Available for rent, lease, or rent-to-own, these trailers can be fitted together in various combinations to suit a client's needs. The modular approach allows for sufficient flexibility to create offices, single- and multiple-storey complexes, lunchrooms, camps, washroom facilities and other related spaces.

Morris Modular Space offers an end-to-end turnkey operation, meaning clients need not worry about the design, transportation or site delivery. These matters are handled from start to finish by the company, alongside servicing and equipment repairs and any necessary retrofitting. This includes the complete maintenance, dismantling and relocation of any the modular spaces.

The company also handles temporary and permanent additions such as steps, ramps, decks, foundations, enclosures and walkways.

Founded in 2004, Morris Modular Space caters Canada-wide, with clients in Ontario, Saskatchewan and Quebec, and a recent contract to establish workforce accommodations and bunkhouses in Alberta's Fort McMurray. It has seen projects both big and small, from individual change rooms to a 60-foot-by-72-foot training centre for Vale Inco.

Morris Trucking

A division of Morris Modular Space, this company handles the transportation not only of modular facilities but also of any number of large items, ranging from trailers, floats, heavy equipment and even mobile homes.

Morris trucking also features a 35-tonne telescopic float, which allows for the handling of sections up to 72 feet long. The company also has four-axle dollies on hand to assist with moving modular, steel-framed buildings. Custom-designed hydraulic devices are also on hand for leveling and lifting.

This capacity has drawn a lot of opportunities from the mining, construction and forestry industries, and much like its parent company has led it to find clients across the country.

Morris Cover-All

Although created in 2008, Morris Cover-All has already seen a flurry of interest in its relocatable fabric dome structures.

Used largely in industrial applications, they are typically used as maintenance facilities, warehousing, as well as manufacturing and equipment storage facilities.

As Northern Ontario's licensed dealer for the Saskatchewan-based Cover-All Building Systems Inc., Morris Cover-All handles all business in the province north of Barrie.

Its patented double-stacked weave provides a durable, puncture-resistant covering, while insulation can also be added to ensure a better level of comfort in the winter months. When insulation is removed, the fabric lets in sufficient light to see throughout the daytime hours, thereby reducing utility costs.

They feature fully scalable, custom designs and can have ceiling heights anywhere from 30 feet to 100 feet. Widths, however, are mainly just limited by the client's available space.

The uptake for these structures has been particularly strong in the mining sector, where Morris Cover-All has established facilities for Vale Inco's Totten Mine, as well as a 130-foot-by-200-foot structure at Xstrata Nickel's Nickel Rim site.

The Cover-All domes are often popular such situations as they can be built in two weeks and allow for equipment to be stored safely inside, where they can be protected from the elements and snow. Trucks can then back into the structure and load the equipment before heading underground.

Morris Diamond Drilling Inc.
