Northern Ontario security firm sweeps North American awards

True Steel Security, a Sudbury-based security system firm, stood out among 260 dealers in North America to sweep four of the 11 awards up for grabs at a recent GE Security Pro Conference in Cancun, Mexico.

The company, which also has offices in North Bay and Timmins, took home the awards for Most Innovative Use of GE Wireless Security Technology, the Best Integrated Marketing Approach and the Security is a Family Matter.

It also won a spot in the Security Pro Hall of Fame, making True Steel Security just the third dealer to do so.

"To be considered for the Hall of Fame, you have to be one of the best, and this dealer is truly that," Jeff Johnson, GE Security Pro's executive director, said in a release.

"Over their tenure in the program, they have exemplified the program's values and served their communities' security needs with a level of distinction that is second to none."
