With plans for a new Northern Ontario School of Architecture on the books for Sudbury, the project's steering committee will make a presentation outlining its projected impact on Thursday, May 8.
Starting at 7 p.m. at Tom Davies Square, the session will offer information detailing some early results from the second phase of the feasibility study, which is in its final stages.
The school, in affiliation with Laurentian University, is being proposed to be located in downtown Sudbury. Organizers suggest this will help the school to have an impact beyond the downtown, benefiting the community as a whole.
The three-phase process involved in determining the feasibility of the project began in early 2007. If successful, the Northern Ontario School of Architecture would be the first new Canadian school of architecture to be built in nearly 40 years.
