By: Northern Ontario Business Staff

Weyerhaeuser Canada Ltd. kicked in support for the Native Access Program for Engineering (NAPE) at Lakehead University with a donation of $100,000. NAPE, a partnership between the corporate sector, the Aboriginal community and the university, has resulted in a sustained enrolment of over 40 Aboriginal men and women studying technology and engineering in the faculty of engineering at the Thunder Bay-based university. This is the first time Weyerhaeuser has been a sponsor of the NAPE program.
