Sudbury will host Naturallia 2015, a business-to-business matchmaking forum that targets companies in smart energy, forestry and value-added forest products, mining supply and services, and advanced manufacturing.

Likened to “speed dating for business,” the event will take place Nov. 11 to 13 and is expected to attract 300 stakeholders from across Northern Ontario, Canada and the globe. The last edition of Naturallia, held in 2013, was hosted by Sault Ste. Marie.

“This event provides a solid opportunity to bolster economic ties and cultivate business relationships,” said Daniel Sigouin, co-chair of Naturallia 2015, in a news release. “It’s an ideal starting point for companies looking to branch out, establish partnerships, attract new customer and supplier bases, and grow their operations.”

Participating businesses are paired off for multiple, one-on-one sessions, where mutually beneficial opportunities are discussed. It is an opportunity for local and regional companies to form strategic business relationships with one another, and with international companies.

“Collège Boréal is proud to be a part of this event,” added Pierre Riopel, co-chair of the event. “Northern Ontario communities have much to share and learn from potential partnerships to be made during Naturallia 2015.”

Initiated by RDÉE Ontario Alliances, and supported by FedNor, Naturallia 2015 is being hosted by the Greater Sudbury Development Corporation (GSDC) and the City of Greater Sudbury, Collège Boréal, the Sudbury Area Mining Supply and Service Association (SAMSSA), and the NORCAT Innovation Mill.
