A Sault Ste. Marie digital consulting firm has achieved rare-air status with Google.

In a news release, Digital Intelligence Group (DIG) announced it has been named an official Google Premier Partner.

It’s an exclusive designation reserved for organizations that demonstrate specialized expertise in their field, have a proven track record of success, and show a clear commitment to commercial results.

DIG said this elite status is reached by only three per cent of North American Google partners.

Established in 2011, DIG specializes in search engine marketing, custom analytics solutions and high performing digital strategies.

“The work we do at DIG is a clear indication of how technology can help a business flourish regardless of its geographical location,” said Kevin Rusnell, partner and digital consultant at DIG.

In a news release, the firm said as a premier partner, DIG will now have increased contact with Google, and receive full-service assistance from Google staff at all levels of the business. This new status also allows DIG to deliver Google-supported packages to local clients such as Northern Credit Union, Algoma’s Water Tower Inn and Tourism Sault Ste. Marie.

“For many of our larger clients in urban centres throughout Ontario, having a Sault Ste. Marie-based digital strategy company — who is recognized by Google — working to enhance their reach proves that effective digital strategies are borderless, but always essential,” said Rusnell.

“Technology has provided obvious benefits for businesses in a community like Sault Ste. Marie,” he added. “The best example of this is when you can connect a local client with customers they didn’t even know previously existed. Having a strong and well-organized digital presence is no longer just for large corporations. It has become a necessity for businesses and organizations of all sizes.”
