Algoma’s Water Tower Inn and Suites in Sault Ste. Marie is under new management.

The hotel, which is owned by J.J.’s Hospitality, will now be managed by Atlific Hotels, effective March 21. The Toronto-based hotel management company operates more than 60 hotels across Canada. Gail Chapelsky has been appointed general manager.

J.J.’s Hospitality, owned and operated by the Hilsinger family, will continue to own the property.

The Hilsingers built the hotel in 1974 and acquired the adjacent water tower in 2003, after the city declared the property surplus.

Algoma’s Water Tower Inn has 176 rooms and suites, pools, a fitness centre, restaurants and free high-speed Wi-Fi, in addition to The Pavilion conference and event centre, a highly flexible interconnecting space for meetings and events.
