The conference, which takes place May 7-9, will include sessions on strategies to address homelessness in Northern Ontario, strengthening regional partnerships, asset management planning, age-friendly community planning, succession planning, and Northern Ontario’s forest products and wood manufacturing sectors.
Sault-based Team Jacobs, which won the gold medal in men’s curling at the 2014 Winter Olympics, will give the keynote address.
Other highlights of the conference include a trade show featuring 28 exhibitors, a banquet honouring the 2014 recipient of the FONOM Executive Award, the annual FONOM meeting and resolutions session, and a minister’s forum, which will include several confirmed cabinet ministers.
