McDougall Energy donates to Sudbury hospital

McDougall Energy has made a $10,000 donation to the Health Sciences North Foundation (HSNF) in Sudbury, designating the donation for the hospital’s Family and Child Program.

McDougall Energy has made a $10,000 donation to the Health Sciences North Foundation (HSNF) in Sudbury, designating the donation for the hospital’s Family and Child Program.

McDougall Energy has been serving Northern Ontario fuel and lubricant customers for more than 68 years and is a branded distributor for Imperial Oil. Through Imperial Oil’s Esso Community Program, Imperial Oil will be matching McDougall Energy’s donation of $5,000, bringing the total donation from McDougall Energy/Imperial Oil to $10,000.

“At McDougall Energy, we believe supporting health-care initiatives creates a stronger community for all of us,” said Paul Lizotte, regional manager, south, of McDougall Energy, in a news release. “That is why we are pleased to support Health Sciences North’s Family and Child Program as we know that our donation will be directed towards improving patient care to residents of Sudbury and surrounding areas.”

McDougall Energy was founded in 1945 in Thessalon and is now in its third generation of family ownership. With headquarters in Sault Ste. Marie, the company maintains operations in Ontario, British Columbia and Manitoba, with more than 200 employees. It has been named to Deloitte’s list of Canada’s best managed companies two years in a row.
