In a July 2 news release, the North Bay-based not-for-profit group announced it is now taking memberships from communities, organizations and businesses engaged in bioeconomy-related endeavors.

Registered members will gain access to breaking news, upcoming events, and insights into development opportunities among other benefits including market and technical research, seminars and workshops, tours and trade missions.

A flagship project of the organization will be implementing its own Northern Ontario Bioeconomy Strategy, an initiative developed in partnership with the Union of Ontario Indians.

“We will continue to deliver on our previous commitments, including our involvement with policy and regulatory reform, acting as head of delegation for the upcoming Naturallia 2015 (in Sudbury), organizing an upcoming bioeconomy trade mission to Finland in the fall, and much more,” said the release.
