Cementation is a mine contracting and engineering company based in North Bay.
The annual competition is managed by Mediacorp Canada, a company specializing in the publication of directories and guides designed to assist job-seekers find great employers. Winners were announced in the Globe and Mail, Mediacorp’s national newspaper partner.
Mediacorp editors grade employers using eight criteria: physical workplace; work atmosphere and social; health, financial and family benefits; vacation and time off; employee communications; performance management; training and skills development; and community involvement. The criteria have remained constant since the competition’s inception and aim to identify organizations from across the country leading their industry in attracting and retaining employees.
“This acknowledgement is very important to us; however, what is more important is that we take every opportunity to listen to our employees in terms of what they deem to be a top employer. Finding out what is important to our employees allows us the opportunity to implement strategies and programs that align with our corporate value of giving employees every opportunity to succeed,” English added.
